Is it possible that this is a wooden plug/cover where the abandoned wet exhaust fitting used to be? maybe a keel cooler with the dry exhaust? I don’t remember seeing any cooling water discharge in the movie??

I do have a turn down transom outlet like I mentioned. When you said wet/dry it came to mind.

Looking closer on the ORCA transom letters snip, it looks like it might be a blind flange for a steel pipe
That looks to me like it might protrude from the transom and turn down. I have or had one of those. I’ll look around.
